I AM REFERRING TO THE ANTI-LIFE AND ANTI-family advocates who seem not to run out of clever ways to insert their Western-based agenda into every conceivable legislation they can think of. Now they would have 21 bills of various concerns consolidated into an omnibus law covering reproductive health, population policy, two-child policy and sex education for the youth. Of the bills, at least three promote the use of artificial contraception in the guise of promoting “women’s health.”
These advocates have turned a valid societal concern into a euphemism for their real agenda-population control. If they really want to address women’s health, why is there no attempt to include Senate Bill 319? The bill seeks to ban abortive drugs and devices. The bills exclusion gives away outright the sinister intentions of the advocates.
The basis of their arguments of course, is the erroneous belief that a decline in population means economic growth and development. Thomas Robert Malthus was an English demographer from 1766-1834. It was he who introduce the rather pessimistic principle that foresaw the world’s population out running food supply, leading to decrease food per person.
To check population growth, Mathus advocated, among other solutions, what we called “moral restraint and vice.” This population control strategy called for the late marriage and sexual abstinence; but is also advocated infanticides, murder, contraception and homosexuality. But there’s the catch in the Malthus proposal: these solutions would apply only to the poor and working classes. In the Mathusian argument, only the lower social classes would assume social responsibility for societal ills.
Since then many have misinterpreted Malthus, even overlooking other aspects of his argument. For example, there are those who ignore for the fact that Malthus himself, even as he pressed for population control, stated that we cannot denigrate man’s capacity (he called it power) to increase food supply.
Those who do cling to Malthus’ theory up to this day misinterpret not just for his thought. In there vain desire to adopt the western culture of licentious behavior in the name of freedom and self-determination, they have put up their own smokescreen to keep them from seeing a succession of various scholars and students that have effectively debunked Malthus since 1960’s. At least one such study, published in 1966, was not only a pioneering initiative at that time; it gaves its proponent a Nobel prize honor. Since then, up until 1990’s and the present, a progression of other studies has only pointed to the emerging reality: there just is no population bomb.
Not only that, countries that have been lured by the Malthusian myth into running a “successful” population program now have to address the grim reality of diminishing human resources. Japan, Germany and Italy are now in the throes of the so called “ demographic winter.” The governments of Russia, Singapore, South Korea, and Bulgaria are now offering incentives to encourage childbearing in the attempt to curb population decline.
Yet here in the Philippines, anti-life advocates-usually pikon when criticize despite the fact that they have access to the legislative powers-that-be-cling to an out-of-touch, outdated and archaic thinking that even their Western gods have failed to prove in their respective countries. The advocates seem not to hear the alarm bells ringing in countries where the demographic winter has set in, countries that are now repentant at having toyed with Malthus theory.
Why the recalcitrance on the part of our anti-life advocates? There clearly a colonial agenda here that is tied to Western purse strings. These agenda-makers may not be obtrusive with their presence. It is even possible that some advocates are aware of them or have not yet notice them. But I won’t be surprise if there lurks in the shadows such anti-life giant octopuses as Planned Parenthood, whose tentacles may have spread far and wide to influence Philippine legislative efforts.
Population control is simply not the solution to poverty. The Philippine population control program, in place since the 1970’s and funded by billions of pesos of public money, has brought down the population from 3.08 percent during the period of 1960-1970 to 2.36 percent during the period 1995-2000. Despite the population decline, however, poverty incidence has not been reduce significantly. Clearly then, there are other factors that are not being address. Try curbing graft and corruption, as we expects legislators to do.
The proposed bills are premised on the belief that we are poor because we are too many. Fewer births may (or may not) mean less expense for a family, depending on its priorities. What is certain however, is that less births means less people for the labor force in the next 20 years. Higher population densities do not necessarily translate into lower personal income. We have certainly seen this in thickly populated areas that exhibit higher incomes and greater economic activity (the National Capital Region, Southern Tagalog, Cebu, Davao, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea; as opposed to Bolivia, Kenya, Ethiopia, which have lower density but also lower personal income)
Finally, when must we put a stop to the use of the term “reproductive health” which, in international forums, is simply a catch-all jargon that includes abortion; but which local advocates have repeatedly denied? The attempt to redefine a term that has become part of an all-encompassing political definition is a lame method of deceit and dishonesty.

Its not really necessary that the big population is the cause of poverty. The real cause of poverty is the corruption of the governments and the dishonesty of it.In order to stop poverty we have also to stop the corruption and other abuses of the power of the government. That's why we to choose the good leader
Not only in the corruption but also in population. Its not really the problem of the society but it can be the cause of the poverty also. You have also to control. So we have also to follow the good family planning. Its not really the reproductive health is bad its just controlling the population that may cause the poverty. Its bad also if you do the abortion. You don't have to do the abortion you just have to follow the proper family planning and using the contraceptives. If you have too many children's but you don't have the money to buy their needs and to pay to their education then its also the cause of the poverty.Because they'll be the problem of the society if they don't have learnings. What would your children do if they don't have learnings? They'll be the problems of the society because they'll be snatchers, robbers, drug addicts or bandits. Our generation also will be poor about this. And about the reaction of the bishops. Its not breaking the gods law.But its also good in order also to control poverty.Because if we just let the population grow then your like letting people to be poor.
the poverty is not really cause of big population in our country.dahil yan sa ating economiya ngayon, lumalaki ng lumalaki ang population growth natin dahil wala ng ina atupag ang mga pamilya tuwing gabi.nakaka isip nalang sila kung anu-anu.huwag lang nating e blame ang ating pang gobyerno ngayun.meron ding mga kakulangan ang bawat pamilya dahil hindi nila ini isip ang future ng kaniling mga anak.dahil para sa kanila gusto nilang mag parami ng anak para daw tutulong sa gawain arw=araw, katulad sa nakatira sa bukaid.lahat talaga ay may mga kasalanan ngayun.yung mga pamilyang hindi nag family planing.ang gobyerno natin na kurakot.kaya anu na ang nangyari sa ating bansa ngyun tayo ang pinaka mahirap na bansa.
the poverty is not really cause a big population in our country.because our economy has a very big population growth.huwag natin isipin na ang ating bansa ay tahimik na.Alam naman natin na ang ating gobyerno ay mahigpit at kulang ang sahod na ibinibigay kaya ang mga tao ngayon nag hihirap na ang mga tao
.not also in our population but also in our society.in order to stop of abuse of te power of our government.that's why we choose a good leader/to manage our society.
The ANTI-LIFE AND ANTI-family is good and bad. Good, in the sense that if we can control the population in our country, we will have enough food, the economy will be better and each family will enjoy more than enough from their income. The children can also go to school and finish their studies and
can easily find a job. In the other hand, if we focus on this advocate there is a bad effect like, if we control the population in the incoming years then the effect will be on our work force who will replace old worker that we have as of now, corruption is another. If we want to have a good economy first we need to attract more investor , so our economy will become stable and robust', population is not the problem it is more on our leadership, look at china they have a billion population but they don't have food problem, cause they have a strong economy and leadership. this what our government should do.
For me,control the situation, all of the government are dishonesty, they corrupt their job to be ok the sitution of the people. The real cause is the corruption of the government, not only in he corruption but also in our population.stop the abuses to our country.ANd our family, control the children, that u give them a normal life, when u have a so many many child, and you dont have a job,you also destroy your life. You have also plan ur family planning to be normal ur life when you have this plan.if you have a children and u dont have a any skill that u help ur family to find job,to buy their needs, and when you dont have that, that also a problem to your family, when you have a children and you cannot enroll them or u cannot go to school for their learning and their healthing. When you have a nice job and much money to buy thier needs and also your child is to be ok.And when ur child a gradaute college, simple to find jod.As a human, you have to be honest and to be concern our country, dont be abuse your life to use drugs, and not to corrupt our life. And our population again, choose a good leader that manage our country.not choose corrupt. The government also corrupt, that so many many poor people in our country,no job,no mony and no future.Kung ako ang president,I do my job as a president, magtatayo ako ng trabaho para sa mga mahihirap para naman umunlad ang kanilang buhay,at para rin sa kanilang mga anak. For me,I will do my best so that I can help the poor people, this is my words that I can tell, choose a good leader.not choose bad member!!!I can see,the philipines are so many many poor people because they dont have a strong economy!
The ANTI-LIFE- AND ANTI-FAMILY IS A good or bad. it is good if we know how to handle our family, and bad kung pabaya tayo sa ating pamilya. bawat isa sa ating pamilya ay dapat mag family planning para hindi masyadong rarami ang ating popOlasyon. kasi kung magpapatuloy tayo sa ating gawain lalo tayong maghirap , kasi over populated na ang ating bansa.
F i choose a leader, i want to choose a good leader to do his/her responsibily. because we don't have a strong economy. SO CHOOSE A GOOD LEADER!AND A GOOD LEADER MUST CHOOSE A GOOD MEMBER..!
Our big population is not the cause of our poverty, the cause of our poverty is the corruption of our governments. To stop our poverty we have to stop the corruption of the governments. But our big population is one of the cause of our poverty, so we have to control and follow the family planning. But if you don't have a money to buy their needs of our children and to pay their education then it is also the cause of our poverty, because they will be the problem of our society if they don't have learnings. The children will become robbers or drug addicts. So we must choose a good leader for our society.
1 MILLION....
As far as im concerned population is not the cause of poverty. The cause of poverty is graft and corruption this 2 major factors causes poverty. Even though population can still affect our economy but we really shouldn't blame population we can't really approve this anti-child policy or abortion, because as far as im concerned, we are a religious country this is not our culture and if population is to be blamed we can't just kill many people here we should use our human minds and common senses to control ourselves in making our family at least we should hear some opinions in our community such as the family programs. But since we are all human beings that sex is a need we should at least do proper precautions. In order for our country to develop we should pay our taxes and we should choose a proper, fair and a well educated leader and we as filipino citizens should cooperate properly and fairly towards our Philippine economy.
Specially now that the philppines was the currupt in whole asia.maraming nagugutom ngayon lalo na na marami ang walang trabaho dito sa ating bansa.
The ANTI-LIFE-ANTI-FAMILY Is a good or bad. It is bad if we don't know how to handle our family and good if we know how to handle our family. We need also to follow the good family planning for us to control the population growth in our society. If you will not follow the family planning and you have many children's and you don't have the enough money to buy their needs its the cause of the poverty. And it would be the problem of our society. It may be possible that they'll be a bad people. You don't have to do the abortion just follow the good family planning.
The article is all about the reproductive health which is the most problem in the other country. The senate bill 319 really want to address womens health and real agenda population control and we must support it for the safe of our womens and to control the over population in our country. It is true that a decline in population growth means economic growth and development.More population will decrease the food supply leading to decrease food/person.We all know that population control is not a solution to poverty but there is what we call graft and corruption.Fewer birth means less expense to a family.
